DIRECTOR OF TRAINING:

Bruce Allen Hartsell

Bruce has been training dogs for over two decades. Bruce is the trainer of trainers and has passed his knowledge and experience on to over 25 professional trainers throughout the country.

He has competed and titled dogs in AKC Obedience, NADAC, USDAA, AKC and UKC Agility, Herding and French Ring Sport. He also trains dogs for Flyball, Schutzhund, Narcotics detection,  search and rescue and tracking.

Bruce is a Professional Member and Director of the International Association of Canine Professionals, AKC Approved CGC® Evaluator and the AKC Star Puppy Program evaluator. and maintains active memberships with    the National Search Dog Alliance, Canine Performance Events and The North American Dog Agility Council.  He is a past member of The United Doberman Club, North American Ring association and Schutzhund USA.

Bruce continues to increase his knowledge and skills by attending workshops and seminars and trains with several national and world champions on a regular basis.

Bruce has  published two booklets; “Hiking with your dog” and “Dog training from the beginning”.

He has been written articles for  The Herald-Progress and Richmond dog magazine and  was a columnist for “Ask The Trainer” in West End’s Best magazine.

He has been featured in local newspapers, The Progress Index, Richmond Times Dispatch, Family Dog Digest and The Freelance Star.

Bruce has appeared on the Pet Talk Radio show in the Washington DC Area several times and has appeared on Channel 6 news in Richmond, VA.

Bruce’s training sessions are lively, energetic and fun for the entire family.
